Volcano Presentation Assignment 
DIRECTIONS:
 You are going to be researching a specific volcano and presenting your volcano to the class. The presentation should include the following information: 
  1. The name of your volcano
  2. Where it is located (world view and continental/oceanic view)
  3. The type of volcano
  4. Information about its history (when did it first erupt, why it was significant…)
  5. Any religious or cultural significance about the volcano
  6. Important structural and compositional information (height, diameter…)
  7. How dangerous it is currently or in the past. Maybe it wasn’t ever?
  8. What type of eruption led to its formation (i.e. hot spot? Rift? Subduction Boundary?)
  9. What type of flows are associated with it? (based on magma type)
  10. How it has affected the people
  11. You have to be presenting material that we did not already know
 In addition to the information listed above, each person will be graded on the following: 
  • Is the visual aid aesthetically interesting?
  • Is the visual aid pertinent?
